in Houston in 2011 and married in 2013. Fred was born in Canada and moved to the U.S. in 1991 to continue his education at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. I have more than 15 years of professional experience in the corporate world, but after Fred was diagnosed with cancer in 2016 I chose to stop working to be his primary caregiver. Fred’s major treatments were completed in the summer of 2017 and he is now stable and visits the hospital mainly for regular routine check-ups.
